When you have to edit course activities in Moodle, you don't want to delete anything accidentally. However the dropdown menu can be confusing sometimes, especially if the developers change the order of the items and the 'Delete' button is not there where it used to be. And you just click on things by force of habit. Let's make it outstanding visually, so you won't miss it.
It is very simple, just go to the theme CSS settings and add the following code:
The first half of the code makes the item pink, which is different from the others:
The second half of the code makes it red when you hover your mouse, so it is even more obvious:
Hopefully it helps not to click on it, unless you really would like to delete something.
Even if you delete a course module (activity, module, item) or a whole course, since Moodle 3.1, we have a recycle bin and deleted activities and courses go to the bin first. If you change your mind, you can restore them from there. The default lifetime for a deleted item/course is 1 week, but you can change it if you visit:
Don't panic if a deleted item is not in the Bin immediately, it takes time to appear in the Bin. The recycle bin is managed by cron tasks, so you probable have to wait a couple of minutes before the bin appears.
I hope it helped. Have a good day! See you soon again.
