Did you know, that you can watch also online videos (e.g. YouTube) with this smart media player?
Why should you do that? Because when you use your browser to play a video, sometimes your browser doesn’t do it properly. The browser needs to use a plug-in (usually Adobe Flash Player) to play the video and this plug-in can collapse or be unstable. Usually I have problem watching the video in full screen mode. In these cases I just use the VLC player.
Copy the URL of the video you want to watch. Start the VLC player. Click on Media, Open Network stream (or press Ctrl+N). Paste the URL and click the Play button in the player. The player starts to stream the video soon.
While you watch the video, you can find the location of the video file as well, so you can download it, if you want. Click Tools, Media Information (or press Ctrl+I) and you can see the LOCATION box at the bottom of the window. You have to copy this URL and paste to your browser. Right click, save as…
You can use this smart software to watch DVDs even if it is not allowed because of the region code. Yes, I have already tried and it played the US DVD without any hesitation. :)
The VLC player has some very useful features if your video file is wrong. You can fix the audio sync problem or the subtitle sync problem, just click on the Tools, Track Synchronization.
One more important thing: the VLC is free. You can download the newest version from here:
